Photograph of Law Librarian and Dean Richard B. Amandes with telegram advising the unanimous approval for accreditation by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association taken in 1968. The accompanying press release states ?Law School Approval--Texas Tech Law School Dean Richard B. Amandes holds a telegram that advised him of unanimous approval of the school's bid for accreditation by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association. The council ruling, tantamount to accreditation, will be passed on to the full section for endorsement in August and to the ABA's House of Delegates for final action early next year.
