Photograph taken in 1967 of Mrs. Broadus Spivey presenting a scholarship to John Franklin as Law School Dean Richard Amandes looks on. The accompanying press release states "SCHOLARSHIP AWARD--Mrs. Broadus Spivey, president of the Lubbock County Bar Auxiliary, presents a $100 scholarship Tuesday to John Franklin of Lubbock, who will enroll in Texas Tech's new School of Law this fall. Looking on is Law School Dean Richard Amandes. The new Law School will open its doors to an initial class of 75."
